11th DCU Chemistry Day, a grand success for the Giordani group!

The Giordani Group was delighted to participate in the 11th DCU Chemistry Day, organised by the Postgraduate Association of Chemistry, a vibrant celebration of research, collaboration, and innovation within the School of Chemical Sciences. The event brought together researchers from across the School of Chemical Sciences, who shared their latest findings through engaging oral and poster presentations, creating an inspiring atmosphere of scientific discussion and exchange. The day was officially opened by Prof. Dáire Keogh, President of Dublin City University, adding to the significance of this long-standing and much-anticipated annual event.

The Giordani Group was proudly represented across multiple presentation formats. Yingru Zhou delivered an outstanding oral presentation that captivated the audience and earned her first prize in the long talk category — a well-deserved recognition of both the quality of her research and her excellent presentation skills.

Beyond the presentations, the event was a fantastic opportunity for the entire Giordani Group to come together, support one another, and celebrate the achievements of colleagues and fellow researchers across the school. Group members were present throughout the day to attend talks, engage in scientific discussions, and enjoy the vibrant and collaborative atmosphere that makes DCU Chemistry Day such a valued tradition. The event provided not only a platform to share research, but also an opportunity to strengthen connections within the DCU chemistry community and celebrate another successful year of scientific excellence.
