Yingru Zhou received her BSc (Hons) in Genetics and Cell Biology from Dublin City University (DCU) in 2023. After conducting short-term research projects in the group of Prof. Silvia Giordani and being awarded a Breakthrough Cancer Research Summer Scholarship in 2023, she is currently a second-year PhD student at DCU, under the supervision of Prof. Silvia Giordani. Her research is currently funded by the Irish Research Council and Breakthrough Cancer Research (EPSPG/2024/1846), project title - Modulation Of carbon Nanoparticles for pAncReatic Cancer tHerapy (MONARCH). Her research revolves around the synthesis and functionalization of carbon nanoparticles for biomedical applications.
