Michał Bartkowski

Michał Bartkowski

Postdoctoral Researcher

Dublin City University

Michał Bartkowski obtained his BSc (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland, in 2019. He carried out his undergraduate research project in the group of Prof. Silvia Giordani, focusing on the use of carbon nano-onions for drug delivery. He was subsequently awarded an Irish Research Council GOIPG scholarship (GOIPG/2019/1820) to pursue a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Giordani at DCU on the Engineering of Nanomaterials for Cancer Therapy. Upon completion of his PhD, he received the 2024 Outstanding Graduate Researcher Award (OGRA) from the DCU Faculty of Science and Health. Dr. Bartkowski is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Prof. Silvia Giordani at Dublin City University, supported by her Research Ireland Frontiers for the Future Programme grant (2/FFP-A/11067). His research interests are in the preparation and functionalisation of carbon nanomaterials and their application as nanocarriers for targeted anticancer therapy.
