Aravind Kannoth Anilkumar is currently a 2nd year PhD student in the group of Prof. Silvia Giordani at Dublin City University, supported by her Research Ireland Frontiers for the Future Programme Award (2/FFP-A/11067).
Aravind earned his BSc in Chemistry from Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kerala, in 2022, followed by an MSc in Chemistry from IISER Thiruvananthapuram, India, in 2024. His current research in the Giordani Group focuses on the synthesis and functionalisation of carbon nano-onions, with broader interests in developing and modifying carbon nanomaterials for targeted anticancer therapies and bioimaging applications. He is particularly passionate about the interface of biomaterials and chemistry, exploring how nanoscale design can advance biomedical innovation.
