Prof. Silvia Giordani was invited to IISER Thiruvananthapuram (TVM), in Kerala, India to discuss ongoing collaborative research works and also to discuss future scientific collaborations with the Professors and Researchers of the prestigious Indian Institute. During her visit Prof. Silvia Giordani met female staff scientists of the institute in a Women in STEM brainstorming event and gave a presentation to academic staff and students on May 14th entitled “Women in Science: A Chat in the Western Ghats”. She also presented her latest research on “Carbon Nano-onions for Biomedical Applications” on May 15th. Both presentations were well attended and received. The visit was very productive and inspiring.
