Prof. Silvia Giordani Featured in L’Eco di Bergamo Ahead of the 2026 Nanochemistry Camp

The 2026 programme of the I.S.E.O. Institute was recently presented in Iseo and featured in the Italian newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo, among the internationally recognised scientists invited to participate is Prof. Silvia Giordani.
Prof. Giordani will join the third edition of the Nanochemistry Camp, taking place from 19 to 26 September 2026 at Camping del Sole on the shores of Lake Iseo. Organised by the I.S.E.O. Institute in partnership with the University of Brescia and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the international summer school will bring together early-career researchers and leading experts in chemistry and nanoscience.
The programme will also feature Jean-Pierre Sauvage, recipient of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, alongside researchers from several European institutions. Through lectures, discussions and community-building activities, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and establish new international collaborations.
During the Camp, Prof. Giordani will present her research on carbon nano-onions and their emerging applications in advanced medicine, with a particular focus on their potential as nanocarriers for targeted cancer treatment. Her participation reflects the Camp’s commitment to connecting internationally recognised research with the local scientific community.
