On 22nd July, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Hyun-Seog Roh and his PhD student Bong-Gyeong Shin from the Department of Environmental and Energy Engineering at Yonsei University, Republic of Korea, to DCU.

Prof. Charlotte Holland, DCU’s Dean for Global Relations, warmly received our guests.

Prof. Roh is the Director of the BK21 FOUR (Brain Korea 21 Program for Leading Universities & Students), a flagship initiative funded by the Korean government. This prestigious program is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of global leaders by enhancing research infrastructure and supporting postgraduate education and training.

During their visit, we had the opportunity to guide them through our research facilities, including the Nano Research Facility and the Life Sciences Research Facility, as well as the core spaces central to our daily research activities.

The visit concluded with an informal meeting, where we exchanged research interests and discussed opportunities for future collaboration in the field of nanomaterials for catalytic and biomedical applications.

We are sincerely grateful to Prof. Roh and Bong-Gyeong for visiting us at DCU, and we are confident that this connection marks the beginning of a productive and impactful collaboration.
