Michał Bartkowski earned his BSc (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Dublin City University (DCU) in 2019. After a six-month research project on the use of carbon nano-onions for drug delivery in the group of Prof. Silvia Giordani, he received an Irish Research Council GOIPG scholarship (no.: GOIPG/2019/1820) to start a PhD under Prof. Giordani’s guidance on the ‘Engineering of Nanomaterials for Cancer Therapy’, at DCU. His research focuses on the preparation and functionalization of carbon nanomaterials and their use as nanocarriers for targeted anticancer treatments and bioimaging agents.
