Manikrishna Lakavathu is currently a 1st year PhD student in the group of Prof. Silvia Giordani at Dublin City University, supported by her Research Ireland Frontiers for the Future Programme Award (2/FFP-A/11067) and the DCU Co-Fund programme.

Manikrishna earned his BS-MS in Chemistry from IISER Thiruvananthapuram, India, in 2025. His current research in the Giordani Group focuses on the synthesis and biological evaluation of carbon nanomaterials for targeted anticancer therapies and bioimaging applications. He is particularly interested in advanced biomaterials, nanomaterials, chemistry, and cell culture, with a strong motivation to develop functional materials that enable biomedical innovation.
